I've only played one of these and that was about 3 years ago. I was not highly impressed. It's a modern Legend, with a slotted headstock and a slightly wider neck. Not a bad guitar by any means. It just didn't impress me all that much.

It's a nice guitar, but maybe overpriced with only a cardboard case. It originally came in a hardshell case that will cost you $75-100 used to replace. If the seller can include the hardshell case, it's worth the buy it now price of $500 if this is the type of guitar your looking for (mid depth, cutaway, wide neck). The cosmetics are certainly nice.

I'm sorry . . . I'm SURE it's a nice guitar . . . but I just cannot STAND that rosette!!! It looks like someone trying to flush an Indian blanket down a toilet . . . . sorry, just my opinion . .

Ok. Then I'm not the only one who never liked that rosette.

Oddly, the Folklore and Country Artist guitars of this vintage that I've played, never sounded good to me. They both have sounded "tight" for lack of a better word. And in my opinion, the Folklore, to be a true Folklore, should have been a 12 fret, not a 14 fret.

Not too fond of the rosette as well. I am not versed well on Ovations as far as what is a deal or not so I remain silent.
