Here we go again!!!

I love my 84C and really getting excited about the arrival of my 1537. I also really like the S868 and it would be shame to part with it, despite it being a 'lesser' shallow bowl then the 84C.

The new LX (mid bowl) whilst is nice and everything just doesn't match the feel etc of the 84C and S868 (and presumably the 1537).

Woke up this morning with an idea to sell the LX and get an older, 'better', mid bowl.

So, what is the best mid bowl Ovation ever made (maybe a collectors?).

Thanks!

Chocolate. No, Vanilla. Strawberry. Rocky Road. Butter Pecan. Mocha Almond Fudge. Rainbow Sherbet. Cherries Garcia. ...

It's gonna be whatever appeals most to you. There will be some differences within the same models, but not that much. If it was a multi-hole you were doing for, I'd say a Custom Elite CE778. For a roundhole, a Custom Legend 1779. Edensharvest has a CE778 (in CherryCherryburst!) in the for sale section at a pretty OK price.

If it was a collectors you wanted, I think the 1994 is a special guitar, but that's a roundhole.

I have a 2000, and as much as I love it, I doubt it will ever be classified up amongst Ovation's finest. Same goes for most of the other lam collectors made from '98 on.
