Hi,

Just sent a note to Al and thought I'd throw this out to you folks as well. I am looking for an Ovation which will give me a sound similar to my 1537 - purchased from Woz some time back. I have a mint condition Larrivee with OHSC to trade. It is an OM-03K. It is a custom order - Larrivee doesn't even list these on their web site - I have never seen another one like it. It is a beauty - no exaggeration. It is set up perfectly, imo, and sounds great. I am looking for another 1537 or something similar. If you've ever wanted to try out a Larrivee, this is a good one.

Here's the link for photos.

Hi,

Am in communication with Mr. Calman re: the Larrivee. I appreciate the response, Mr. Kaman, and will keep your 1537-4 in mind. I am thrilled that you would consider my Larrivee.

Sincere Regards,

Hi,

Just a quick note to say that the Larrivee will shortly be on its way to California and Tony Calman. Thanks for the many responses and trade offers. BTW, an Adamas SMT, will be finding a new home in Freeport, Illinois very soon now.

Regards,
Jon Van Gilder :D

Tony,

No danger of that happening! Can hardly wait for this Ruby Red thing of beauty to arrive. As much as I love the Koa Larrivee, it is a thrill to know that an Adamas is on the way.

Played my Ovation 1537 this afternoon at the Sojourn Folk Festival in Freeport, IL - it's a benefit to raise money for battered and neglected women of Stephenson County. My duo buddy, John Hartman, played a Gibson Chet Atkins (red sunburst), but I think the Ovation actually sounded a little cleaner and fuller through the PA - ran it into a Direct Box using an Extreme Plus pre-amp. We played about 45 minutes - fun set and good cause. Ovations Rock.
