I need a natural finished Deacon neck. Does anyone have one to sell?

I'm not sure whether they ever made "natural" necks... all of the necks we have are either rosewood or ebony.

Guys?

xbj's talking fretboards. I think you are talking the finish. I got one from Mother not long ago. All they had was Sunburst.

You could strip and redo if you really needed to.

Don't let the stripper touch the binding1

(here it comes now)

Nope, not me, Woodrow. My lap is already occupied, thank you very much.

My Duh, sorry you're right of course!

But seriously folks, how do you keep the stripper from the binding?

I'm sure there's a vaseline or k-y crack in there somewhere. I'm just not sure where...

Masking tape may not be sufficient. Duct tape or better???

You may have to leave 1/4" strip and then hand sand up to it.

The better chem stripper for Poly-saturated finish is the Aircraft Stripper found in auto parts stores. About $30+ a gallon.

Melts in your mind and not in your hands! It will strip the Ovation logo as well.

Usually part of the binding is painted over. So check for that before using chemical strippers.
