I would like to trade a tan/tortoise Breadwinner for a blue one. Anyone interested?

Blue is the rarest color. Good luck finding one and even better luck getting the owner to swap.

I believe the last one on ebay was well over a year ago....maybe longer!

I remember that one. It went for $725.

Today it would probably go for close to a grand!

I remember it because it sold about the time I was buying my guitar from Samova, and I was telling him about it. He thought it should have gone for a lot more at the time. I paid more than $725 for mine, and it's not even vintage (it's NOS assembly), but I planned on playing the thing, and blue just didn't turn me on. I gotta say, though, there were tan models available too, and I just thought they were ugly.

dlnolet, to answer your post, you're not gonna find anybody to make that swap, but good luck hunting for a bluie.

I'll second that, but maybe you can find one to buy.

When I bought my Breadwinner I had all three colors in front of me to choose from. The blue looked a little to girly-girly to my 17 year old eyes and the tan was just boring. So...it was white by default. Would I have choose the blue at the time if I knew it was going to be rare? Probably not.

It has to be broken first.

Actually, it was MrGolf007 that was talking with me and mentioned how the black shiny ones with gold hardware were fetching the higher dollar amounts.
