I'm not really a new owner I guess, but I am new to this board. Glad to have found it. I owned A Glenn Campbell back in the early 80's and I owned and Elite back in 1992. I'm mostly an electric guy but I needed an acoustic for Church. Naturaly I looked to Ovation and I'm glad I did. I bought a 1778TX. I can't believe the quality I got for such little money! I plan to add a USA model very soon.

There's only a couple of people allowed to post in this section (I'm not one of them so tell anyone I posted this!) ... the welcome wagon will probably be around soon. Hang on. This is the right place once the hall monitors give you the green light and the rest of us here can post in your threads (and vice versa).

BTW, a 1778TX is a USA model. And a good one at that. Congrats and welcome.

Uh, No Bobbo.

TX models are made in Korea.

A 1778T would be made in the USA.

Oh right. That's why they don't let me post in here.

Hey Alan ... pancreatic surgery is a pretty heavy deal. Best wishes. We'll be looking forward to your return.

That s awesome. I just got the same one and I love it. First ovation I've owned nd 100% hooked! Funny thing, I never really seemed to like them, thought shallow sound and all but the solid top, mid bowl and bass side sound hole blew me out of the store when I played it. I love both unplugged and plugged sounds. The neck is the nicest most comfortable I've ever played!

I hope it gives you many years of enjoyment!
