Location: SoCal | First of all, great 12-string. I have a number of Custom Legends.
I bought a 1659 (9.5 of 10) on eBay a couple of years ago for $385 plus shipping. However, that was obviously a great deal and a good guitar would be normally sell for more. Some have gone as low as $450, some as high as $750. Usually, the 1658 slothead goes for a few more dollars.
Problem is that this is a knowledgeable group...postings of guitars for sale get more attention with a detailed disclosure, good photos, and an idea of what you are looking for.
Other option is eBay with a minimum bid or a reserve to protect yourself. |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | I just bought the deep bowl natural finish version of this guitar off Ebay. I paid $850 for it, ONLY because of the quality of the top and the natural finish. It was worth it to me, but I would not pay more than that. I originally wasn't going to go over $650 on it, but it was exactly what I wanted, and after a lot of careful thought I went for it. Most of the ones I've seen go on Ebay that were in good condition have gone for about +/- $600
I also had the mid bowl cutaway version of your guitar. I just donated that one to a visiting missionary couple. |
