Yes, I'm pretty amazed it cleaned up so nicely, and I really could have done a better job with more time.

For me new strings always take about an hour of playing to settle in and start sounding really good. Dave was right in that old thread when he says it sounds like a wooden guitar. And it definitely seems to put out more volume than my S771. I can't wait to try recording something with it. The playability, action and setup are just as I like them. The neck size and shape is almost identical to my S771. This guitar does weigh quite a bit more than my 771 and actually feels better that way.

The paint off the back wouldn't bother me so much if the rest of the guitar wasn't like new. Still, not too bad for a 23 year old guitar.
