Is it a form of expression that you are feeling at this time or are you trying to look cool when people make these VERY STRANGE FACIAL looks when playing.
I look at Hendrix and I see that he is so high that he is actually feeling those expressions that he makes with his face while playing but some of the artists I see seem to just make those faces to think that they look cool.I know when I have to much of the sauce and play air guitar to certain songs that I make those kind of faces but are the they for real?
Do you make faces when playing certain songs?    :) :p  GWB

I play with my "O face"

Honestly, I have no control over my facial expressions when playing. I have no doubt I look like a dork.

One of impressions that remains with me all these years later is watching the faces of Carlos Santana and Alvin Lee in the original Woodstock movie. Yeah, they were high as the space shuttle, but like guitarwannabee says, they were definitely feelin the music.

I'm with Iffy.....If you were to wrap Roy Clark's face up with duct tape.....He couldn't play a lick!!

....but he'd probably manage to work his tongue out somehow and play.....

Bill's Style 4 Weissenborn. That reaction had to be to Moody's "how's he keepin' it flat with a hard-on" comment. Thanks a bunch for postin' that one, a**wipe.

I had forgotten that line, but I think you're right.

Actually, there's a brain connection between your mouth and toungue, and your hands. So what may be going on is that your hands are doing stuff and nerves in your brain are sending an epiphenomenom to your face.

The reverse happens to me, sometimes, I can only play a song if I sing.

Science explains everything.

This is what my audience use to look like to me when I did play live in the 60s.
Anyone else have enough brain matter left to remember those days? GWB

When I am finger-picking, or doing lead, the toes on my left foot (but not the right) wanna curl up no me...
Are they trying to keep-up with the left hand?
