I am not writing this post to revive the "Bidder Beware" post. I just want to apologize if I was out of line. This board is an awesome wealth of knowledge, information, resources, and the opportunity to share with some extrodinary people. Just seeing how many went to bat for 'ol Norseman in this past situation was overwhelming to me...and the countless times I received help and encouragement from a OFC'er makes this board an absolute treasure to me.

That being said, I did not mean to push the envelope so to speak on what is or isn't acceptable to post here. Thank you for this board, and the efforts you and many others put forth in keeping it a great place to be... and I hear what you're saying!

Peace.

As I see it, no apologies are necessary. A lady put together a well thought out shill bidding scam. Something smelled weird to you and you pointed it out. Your insight attracted a few more interested people who really looked beneath the surface. They uncovered the well thought shill bidding scam. I only hope someone reports the lister and her company to eBay and the FBI.

dmkozak...with over 200 positive feedbacks and no negatives, I think you are way out of line stating that it was a well-thought out shill. Mistakes were made on both sides.

This is why the thread was closed.

I have had some issues (worked out to solutions) where the Seller had entrusted others to utilize their Ebay account and it was "abused".

It is a tough thing to do.

Interesting that eBay has apparently banned the seller now. Not meant as finger-pointing, or a statement of who's right, who's wrong, just an observation.

Absolutely beautiful guitar.

All the dialogue was worthwhile if it resulted in the shill's being tossed out of ebay...

I honestly believe that this was not premeditated.

Let's leave it as an auction that got out of control. Seller is responsible for his/her auction and eBay has taken action.

clickie, clickie, clickie...

Norseman, you may want what I just bought way more than a 1537 ;)

By the way, I want to post a pic of my 1537, but I can't figure out how to get it from my computer file, to this website. Any help would be appreciated.

Norse, you should be able to upload using the Gallery Utility. The main point that you have to watch in order to be successful is that the file cannot be larger than 100Kb, and jpeg is preffered although I think it might accept gif, but I'm not sure on that. Once you have them in your folder in the gallery, getting them into a message is pretty simple by following the links in the 'Full Reply Form'.

Appears problems with email are solved, been getting them.

See my suggestion on the 1984 Collectors.
