I am really enjoying my first Ovation experiences, bought an elite from a Fan Club member and borrowed a CC074 from my brother in law while he went on vacation. I have to give the bass back in a week or so and want to buy one. I am thinking of getting a solid bass as the CC074 is not loud enough for me without an amp.
I am thinking of trying to find a Magnum - willing to accept one thats beat up (appearance - hope it still plays right) if it can keep me to a $300 budget.

Any advice or offers?

Michael

Michael,

If you don't find one, I have an Washburn ABT B10 active bass (4 string) that is in mint condition I am looking at selling for $250. I have owned it since about 1990, but really want to get a Carvin, so will part with the Washburn, then find me a used Carvin Bass.

It's Pearl white, ebony fret board, and has a cheapo hard case it came with. Only negative is my grandson tweaked one of the latches on the case. Beyond that...no nicks, dents or scratches (I use only my fingers on the bass).

Thanks for the offer. I found a Magnum from Miles for $500 and there is a Magnum 4 on ebay now for $360 so I am looking at that direction. I looked up the Washburn and it looks cool - people seem to like the sound.
