Location: East Wenatchee, WA | Even if you happen to be a fan of other guitars, you should buy it then repost it for sale here. You would make a nice tidey profit in a big hurry.
While everyone correctly states that it is among the best Ovation ever did, the deep bowl boomer is not for everyone, so grab it and enjoy it, or grab it and profit from it.
Either way, you can't go wrong. |

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | Issues were only laquer cracks and a really dirty neck that needed cleaning....overall a nice guitar that my brother-in-law is extremely happy with.
Maybe you are thinking of that one I got with the case that was more foam showing than plastic. THAT ONE cost me $650 in factory repairs (which included new case) to get up to snuff!
Mark, maybe the BIN was $150. I know it was stupidly cheap. |

But, I probably would have sent it to the mothership for a new top and TLC to the sum of $350 or so, making it a $500 guitar. Truely, the one I have now is is fine shape with one little finish crack/ding, and some scuffs on the binding. It's acoustic, and sounds amazing. I have to openly thank Noah for making it happen for me. I encourage everyone to scour Ebay for the mis-listed deals out there (wrong pictures, inaccurate descriptions etc). In this case, it paid off big time for me.

You should buy the guitar for $400.00 and then sell it to me for $500.00 and that way you know you got a good deal ($100.00 bucks in your pocket).

Location: Syracuse NY | Thanks guys. There really isn't any risk...I know the guy who owns it and he is the kind of guy who takes care of his stuff. I played it once a long time ago and it was great.
My only apprehension was the older electronics but it is in perfect working order and won't have to travel much for me...the only issue is a beat up case, but who cares about that right?
ALSO...I'm not buying it to resell it. so stop :-) asking. |

Welcome to the club! Picking up a 1537 is a great way to join - they're generally considered one of the best guitars Ovation has ever built, and $400 is a steal.
