I had a brilliant and probably costly idea to get an '05 Collectors in the hands of my Dad as a late Father's Day, early birthday, Christmas, and "congratulations on your wedding last year" present.

Anyone have a lead on where to find one? Must be absolute MINT condition, preferably NOS if available.

Thank y'all kindly!

Andrew,
They've had one up high on the wall at the Guitar Center in Tigard, Oregon (just outside of Portland) for as long as I can remember. No sales tax in Oregon! You might give them a ring if you can't find one online. Not sure what they're asking for it.. I try not to spend much time there. Good luck!

Only reason I would sell is to buy the 2006C that Al has...but I don't discount...no warranty, as new for $1,300 plus shipping.

Thanks. I'll try them. The local Ted Brown store in Tacoma had one for a while - not sure if they still do. Guess I'll be making some calls tomorrow.

Not sure of my concall schedule for the next couple of days, but if they still have it and you are interested, let me know and I can go inspect it for you or pick it up for you. Shoot me a PM if I can help.

Andrew, my apologies, it's actually Beaverton as opposed to Tigard. You think I'd know better, I've only lived nearby for 30 years!

Beaverton address, but it's actually closer to Tigard these days...
Just off 217 across from Washington Square Mall.

I spent many years working remote support out of a support center located in Beaverton. Typical conversation while we were waiting for a system to reboot or a crash dump or whatever:

Customer: So, where are you located?
Me: Oh, we're in Beaverton, Oregon
Customer:

Particularly the Brits. That was always popular with the Brits.

The Tigard/Beaverton line these days is right down the middle of Scholls Ferry. I always mix up the Scholls Ferry and Greenburg Road exits in my mind. So when I'm trying to go to GC, I end up at CompUSA, and visa versa.

My sister in law refused for years to admit she lived in Beaverton. I've been in the GC many times, but don't recall seeing a 2005. Maybe I just didn't recognize it. Bought an am there a couple years ago and tried out a used Custom Elite last time I was there, but I thought they wanted too much for a well used SSB.

dvd, PM sent!

Hey, Stephen, feeling a little blue? The GC in Beaverton apparently has two of them... ;)

By the way, what ever happened to Sally? She hasn't posted in months, come to think of it?

Andrew, you ought to move on this before the weather in Alaska make shipping risky. The Ute I got from AFG is perfect and I'm sure his 05 has also been well cared for.

Mark in Boise-Thanks for the vote of confidence. This 2005 is in perfect condition. No issues what so ever. I have promised to whittle down the "collection" to 1 of each "type" of guitar and "if" I am to keep only one Ovation, it will be my 1760 ADII.
