At the current price it is an exceptional deal.

Been listed before but did not sell (think there was a reserve????)

Depending on where it ends, it could be a real steal. Like I've said, too many good Adamas guitars right now, and not NEARLY enough money!

BTW, anyone actually know anything about ebay user 'garonemartin'? I got outbid once before on an ebay item by him/her, but as a member since Febrary 06 he still has zero feedback...anyone else think this might be a shill or something?

Check to see if the auctions were run by the same person. Feedback is not exchanged when the buyer and seller do not want people to see a sellers name in the feeedback section all the time. Also the seller may have two addresses and by using his wife's credit card a person can establish two accounts and use one to bid items up for themselves. They should get smart and use the other name and establish a feedback, that way you'd never know.

I've seen garonemartin bid on several Ovations that I was watching or bidding on. Might be a shill or might just be a tightwad like me. It does seem like he was bidding on some high-end items, though.

Mark, I thought of that. The trouble is, as often as he bids on stuff, he would have won something by now, and the only reason for not having a feedback score at all is intentionally avoiding it. Just fishy...

Well, he just won this one. I put in a bid for 759.00 but then withdrew when I saw his return policy was "exchange" whatever that would mean. I'm waiting to get a "second offer" if this guy is bogus.

Nice one JP. Guess this will tell us if he is a shill or not.

Absolutely. It'll be interesting to see. If not, he got a great guitar for an awesome price.
