The total flame ones like this look really cool to me. Dave http://cgi.ebay.com/Ovation-elite-T-1778-Red-flames_W0QQitemZ260055...

The red looked the best of all the flames IMHO. But I saw one at the factory that was blue with something like raindrops on the finish. That was the coolest. But maybe I'm just "different". These are great guitars to play too. I love the maple neck. The BIN is a pretty steep discount off the list price; someone's gonna get a good deal.

The next year run was the black bowl with painted flame headstocks and OP50. I think this was also the period when the purple tribal flame came out. The latest run is the orange flame... I have the first one and it cost a heck of a lot more than the BIN price that Alpep is asking. The bowl is not slippery at all. This model Elite has a lot of bottom end and the neck play's extremely smooth. Aloha_Tim

The one I bought from Al was not an FRG. I bought mine before this FRG was available. The price that Al wants is a good price for any one interested.
