I believe that this is the first 'meeting' of any Australian OFC members. Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken. 2 members that fit the OFC demographic in the bullseye. (Middle aged men with a plastic guitar obsession and one's bearded, the other's bald :p )

In the middle of Brisbane in the middle of Winter.

Jim's appartment is arrowed - I didn't actually get IN to Jim's house. Either he couldn't fit a guest in due to recent and ongoing GAS, or Schroeder warned him not to let me in the house.

What a spectacular location!

The Brisbane CBD skyscrapers are just off the left hand edge of the photo. Check out the view from his balcony in AussieJames's gallery.

I reckon he's not the guitar "hack" that he claims to be. It'll be up to the NW jammers to confirm or deny.

Have a safe flight Jim, and lets get together with some O's when you get back. (Are you in, Richard?)

Not sure exactly what day you guys meet up, but, for now, June 21st will become a National holiday in Australia known as "O" Day :D

I thought this thread was going to announce National Sobriety Day... or... Australia adopts English as it's Lingua Franca.

That would be "A Curiously Odd Day in Australia".

...and Muzz, how come the air's so much dirtier around your apartment?

You'll have to ask James, Wabbit. My house is about 60 miles North of the one arrowed.

I just did a quick stitch, crop and resize to get it up asap. No time for colour/contrast/hue adjustments.

Muzz, James,

I'm in. Let's organise this as soon as AJ gets back from the US with his latest toys.

That's a common misconception Damon. That Fosters "stuff" is not that popular down here. In fact I don't know anyone who drinks it, at least in my little part of the world.

To Muzza and AJ....congraulations on the first all Aussie O gathering...hopefully the second one will take place in a couple of weeks when Muzza is down this way.

The potbelly is waiting Muz :D

It's ok Oz, Muzza told me the story :)

Muz, it was great to meet you yesterday, a shame I was pushed for time.

Never mind, we'll organise a proper get together when I get back.

AJ, seeing as you're not bringing guitars, bring beer.

AJ don't forget to speak with Miles about the JR Deacon, he was the guy who was collecting these back before most of us knew just how well built and cool these solid bodies really are. I hope I am not putting Miles on the spot but I am pretty sure he can enlighten you with some great stories.
Enjoy the trip.

Oh Miles has stories....

....some of them even involve Ovations! Wait 'till we're sippin'
around the campfire. Or that early morning coffee run.
(oh, right. No Tims\' in Washington. Yet.)

Apparently Canadians eat more donuts per head of population than Americans

Deb has heard of "Tim Hortons" and is hanging out to try them.
Sounds like we'll have to wait til we get to Vancouver.

There will however be some "Tim Tams" at the Jam.

hey wabbit,
mahalo for the link. i had seen them online previously but nowhere near this inexpensive. there is something extra special about receiving care packages from good friends though. can't put a price on that.

muz has finally paid his dues. now if oz and aj would step up to the plate...

(i do appreciate how you aussies all made sore attempts at covering each other's hides.)

dangling carrot: no tellin' what might show up down under from hawaii...or when.

Ummmm, I smell PhotoShop.

They're on the other side of the globe, right? Therefore we should see they're backs, right?!?

Congrats on the 'meeting down under'! Looking forward to more pics, with 'O p0rn'...
