I've owned several originals and this one is SPOT ON. Every feature and detail is perfectly recreated. And most importantly - THE SOUND. Oh my gosh. One strum of this guitar and you know immediately how Ovation got launched in the first place. If I was a dealer, this guitar would qualify as NEW. Not a mark on it. I literally bought it (from an ovation dealer) about 2 months ago and have played it less than 10 minutes since. Why? Well, upon receiving the guitar and seeing what kind of perfect vintage recreations they could do, I immediately set out to order up my own custom version which will be delivered soon. So, as wonderful as this guitar is, it's completely redundent to another one in the herd. Not trying to give you a sales job, but honestly the few of these reissues that are available have been selling for $1800 to $2000. And worth every penny. And this one is serial number TWO. How many have YOU seen for sale. That's right, these babies are RARE. Includes brand new hard shell case of course. More photos and details can be found HERE $1500. Delivered to your door FedEx in the 48 States. Email or PM me if interested or if you have questions. Dave

If you've never played an original shiny bowl, let me tell you that they are absolutely wonderful and totally unique in the Ovation world. In my never humble opinion, everybody should have a shiny bowl, original or reissue, in their collection..... And Clifford's right (boy, it hurts to say that -- luckily I don't have to say it very often). These things are just incredible when mic'd with a condenser mic.
