Hi, I just got an Ovation Matrix 1737 for a very good price, but I wondered what sort of price I would get for it if I were to attempt to sell it. It has various scratches, but otherwise is in decent condition.

You're not going to get rich. e.g., a Matrix in "perfect condition" recently sold for $170- eBay 140096844356. If it's a good player, keep it.

Thanks for that, I suspected that may be the case. Although there is a person currently trying to sell one on ebay with a starting price of £175.

choco, welcome aboard!

What's important is what people are getting, not just asking.

Do an advanced search on comleted listings only, that'll show you auctions that have been bid on and won.

That'll give you a more accurate barometer of what the Matrix's have been going for lately.

Welcome chococarl! You've got a great 'beater' guitar in that Matrix (speaking as a Matrix owner myself). It's not by any stretch the best or most sought-after Ovation, but they still sound and play a heckuva lot nicer than any guitar in their price/quality range, and they're almost indestructible. I wouldn't expect to get more than $100 if I wanted to sell mine, but I don't. Like I said, it's a great beater guitar for camping, beach and anywhere else I wouldn't take my more expensive O's.
