looks like a balladeer 1111-4 circa '71-'77 think that's the remnants of glue from a silver label inside the soundhole. my 71 had the same tuners, etc...

i was posting the auction with the aussie guys in mind, in the event any of them were in the market and didn't see this on the bay. also, not knowing ovations very well, i was not sure what the seller meant by "jumbo". thanks, glenn!

lanaki, I'm not sure it's a balladeer, and might be a jumbo.. was just stating my often wrong opinion.. I was not aware a jumbo was ever produced.. and my Ovation knowledge has all been gleaned from here..when I picked the guitar back up about 15 years ago while I was in CT I was happy and excited about my old AA14 and Matrix.. my taste in Kaman products has gotten better... but not my manners or playing skills by much.. sorry if I spoke out of turn.

It's a Balladeer. No electronics = 1111-4. Early to mid 70s. The foil label is missing. No black background around the headstock logo. It's jumbo - if you're used to playing smaller guitars. Problem with high E string above the 12th fret = famous neck hump (jumbo problem if thats where u wanna play it). Looks good if the price stays low. My 2cents, which is worth about a quarter yen in some 3rd world countries.
