Hi there.

Disclaimer - I'm not a real "ovation fan", but I appreciate the instruments.

I've got a Preacher that is sitting in its case aging. I don't play anymore, and hate to waste it if someone has an interest. I'm not sure its worth, but would rather get it to an Ovation lover rather than some used-guitar dealer.

A friend of mine bought it around 81/82 (I think) - I bought a Magnum Bass at the same time. In 82/83 I traded him the bass for the Preacher, so I have either had or been close to the Preacher since it was new. Never played professionally (well, maybe a beer gig or two).

Here are the specifics: Charcoal Preacher, S/N E-19653 (don't know year). All original, with hardshell case. Guitar is in good shape (no appreciable fret wear, no structural problems). A few minor dings, belt-buckle-scratches on back. Case is a little beat up but solid.

If there is any interest, I'll get some pictures.

This is just a "wild hair" posting - If it is worth something, maybe I'll pull some cash out of it for one of my new hobbies.

Thanks for any comments and/or interest.

P.S. I'm traveling for a week, so may not reply until next weekend. Sorry.

I'd like to see some pictures of it. I am in the market for an electric guitar right about now.

OK - I'm back in town, and I have some pictures.

The lighting is bad, the carpet is dirty - ignore the dog hair! Other than that, the guitar looks good.

The easiest way I have found to do pictures is to use "photobucket.com". Go to the following link and look at the pics.

If you want any specific angles or better pics, just reply and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks.
Matt.

OK - I'm back from (more) business travel, and

"After further review..."

I'm asking $450, plus shipping. First valid offer has it (subject to a couple private inquiries that get top priority).

If you don't like it, I'll buy it back and pay the return shipping (so we'll split the loss).
