With all the enthusiasm for the Tak EF75j...
I thought I would post THIS I have no affiliation with the auction, but it is a damn fine guitar. Lowden's walnut/cedar combos are incredible.

Lowdens are great guitars. If I ever win the lottery, there will be some in my collection.

Lowden are nice guitars, very playable and well-built. The only thing I didn't like was the satin finish on them..but that's me...

Yeah, different flavors, giuseppe. Personally, I'm back to getting used to gloss after nothing but satin. Now I'm having a hard time choosing which I like best. The gloss is nice but I really love the natural satin feel.

That IS a cool guitar. Aren't Lowdens made in Ireland?

I don't really 'know' the seller, but we have corresponded. He has sold some really fine guitars over the last ten years on the Harmony Central bulletin board.

On the way to the tour in May, Jerome Tom and I stopped in a shop and I played a 00 sized Collings. It was WONDERFUL.

Unfortunately I was wearing some tight jeans that day and I wasn't quite able to get my credit card out of my pocket. I'm gonna go back some wearing baggy pants and buy that sucker.

Check out their small bodied C10 first! Man what a nice sounding guitar. And if you can find it in a varish finish --- sublime.

Stephen, I did get your email... and just read this. I did reply, and must say that your offer was incredibly generous. Too bad it went away.

Yep....I was surprised it lasted as long as it did based on your comments. I saw where he was originally offering it on Craiglist and a few others about 3-6 months ago for over $3000.
