Okay, so I'm thinning the herd a bit and am selling two very interesting guitars. I really want to sell these guitars as a combo because they truly belong together. As most of you know, the 1537 is one of the very best wood-topped O's made. It has a sound quality that is a cut-above. This guitar was only made for three years in the early 80's. The one that I have is in very good shape. It has the sunburst finish with no finish cracks at all. The neck is straight as an arrow and the frets show virtually no wear.

Its 12 string sister is the 1538. These are very rare guitars and the one that I have has the sunburst finish to match my 1537. The top is in great shape with no finish cracks or significant scratches. The neck is straight and the frets show very little wear. The only weird thing with the 1538 is that someone along the line altered the electronics. It still has the 2 knobs, but the stereo input has been plugged on the back and I think that it is controlled only at the mixer or amp rather than with the knobs. If I were to keep the guitar, I would send it in and have the new electonics installed. They're much better nowadays and with this particular guitar would be exceptional.

Anyway, like I said, I want to sell these guitars as a pair. I am offering them up for a VERY reasonable $1700 plus shipping. If you know anything about these guitars, you know this is a very good deal.

I do have pics but don't know how to post them on this site. If someone can tell me, I would be glad to post them. Otherwise, email me for pics and I will send them along. Please email me with questions you may have as well.

Oooh sunburst! That's quite a pair you're offering!

Somebody should definitely grab these. You will never regret buying a 1537, and the 1538s are just as good.

Nice price too.

Just to let you guys know....These are going to go up on ebay at the end of the week unless I get some interest here. I hope someone at OFC gets these guitars. They are really quite special instruments. Peace.
