Location: Orlando, FL | What's with all the Viper III's falling out of the woodwork? I would love to have any one of them. How do these sound compared to the 2 pickup versions? |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | They have the same sounds as the 2-pickup version, but then you have the addition of the middle pickup to use.
I really think a knife switch would have been a better option, or some other wiring of the three switches to that going from Neck Only to Bridge Only (which is what I do most) would be easier. It's not that it's hard with flipping two switches, it's just easier with one.
It's a great guitar for "jams" and "open-mike" type things, or in cover bands because there is such a variety of sound with combinations of the 3 pickups and creative use of the tone and volume. |
