This one isn't mine, mine's sunburst and the chances of ever seeing it on ebay are slim and none.

CW-28

I'm an Ovation fan, Takamine fan, Martin fan, ... but folks ask me bar-none what's THE best sounding guitar I have ever owned and without hesitation it's the COLLINGS CW-28. There's some other guitars of this "type" called Clarance White, and other LSH models. But THIS is the real mc coy (expect for Clarances original one now owned by Tony Rice). The Collings CW-28 is a pretty rare bird, I don't know maybe a few hundred or so (only 8 sunbursts). It'll be real interesting to see if this guy gets his price. It's certainly worth every penny of it in my book.

Dave, for that kind of change, it should play itself. :D

It's a very good guitar. If I didn't just get a Collings D-42 that is equally as good I'd jump on this.

A Fabulous Guitar: worth every penny as Dave said! I have something very special (actually two something’s very special) on the way that will be announced nest week: in the meantime, take a minute to follow this thread and listen to the beautiful sound of this guitar!

If it was a sunburst, I believe it would be on it's way to Colorado.

I am still watching and thinking about the sunburst Dave posted up a few weeks ago (now relisted). Not sure if the price is good or not but the seller won't budge despite several offers (none mine).

Bill, do you know anything about the sunburst one (comparable models you may own or have played)?

This one is pretty nice too for those with less expensive tastes!

Oh, so the $3,250 (with $70 shipping) is the Low-Budget Starter Model?
And it don't plug-in?

Ain't happenin'! I could get me a really nice old Adamas for that much...

For a Collins that probably is a Low-Budget Starter Model ;)

There are some things in life you get what you pay for. Collings guitars would be one of those. Dave
