I`m new on this page and I`ve seen too late that there is a special page for "collectibles".So I first put my question somewhere else.A few days ago I`ve bought an "Ovation Adamas 1681-5 Serialnr.4343" in a very good shape from a friend. At the Ovation-homepage I found a date of the production of this guitar wich is 1981.Is there someone who can tell me anything else about this wonderful guitar?I´m very proud to call this precious my own,the Rolls Royce of the guitars and I want to learn everything about my last guitar in my life.So please help me if there is someone who can tell me that! Thanks and many greetings from Germany/near Stuttgart, Olli

I just tried, but I couldn't get into what appeared to be a general discussion of 1681s in June of 2007. As long as you're here, find out the real story on when the new Porsche Museum is going to open so we can plan our next visit. And don't be talking about the last guitar of your life. There are too many nice varieties out there, just made by Ovation. I will have to come over and test it for you, though.

Like to help but I am the most ignorant Ovation owner in this group. If you don't get response, I would like to suggest you starting a new post with a Sexy Title to get attention. If you attach pictures, you will definitely get responses because bunch of guys in this forum are easily excitable.

Do, as Mark and STK said: Post a new thread on the "General discussion" section - and you'll get all the answers you need. Til then, check these great pages for a little overlook: Ovationtribute Ovation Gallery Best regards, Kurt
