I actually spoke to Elias about several other things he was selling as he is local to Philadelphia. He is a serious Vintage and collectable Martin collector too.

Other than a few extreme pieces (Gold top Adamas!) he has sold almost everything highend Ovation/Adamas. Almost everything highend Adamas went to Japan apparently. Apparently spending more time in Greece these days and has moved much of his collection over there.

Doesn't Povation have 3-4 of the 47RI's?

Maybe Dobro could convince him to share the wealth and part with one.

That would explain why he was not available for lunch.

I am a bit uncertain of "Povation's" identity. Anyone care to fill me in?

Of course it is arrogant to think that Mr. P would be willing to part with one of his five children just because they're quadruplets :)

Povation is an active member based in Thailand. He has family (I believe) in California which is where he has a lot of the guitars initially shipped.

I think I understand this analogy, if you meant to say quintuplets.

No, I meant what I wrote(hence the smile!) I took Randy's advice and looked at the gallery: very cool guitar stable indeed! Hard to believe the extent of some of these collections. Wow.

Visiting Povation is on my long list of things to do when I retire.
