I used to play pretty much just acoustic (my beautiful ovation) with no amplification, but I am starting a band with a friend so I think it's time to upgrade from my old 15 watt peavy practice amp that I bought with my first guitar way back when.

I doubt we'll be playing shows any time soon although he has some connections and I have a few, but I am looking for a decent combo amp or something to play my Ovation Elite T and my Hamer Standard on.

Anyone looking to get rid of something or have any recommendations?

Genz-benz is good. bunch of others.
In the low range they are all made "over there" so go to your local store and pick what sounds best to you. They are all or pretty much comparable quality.

Where are you located?

I have a couple nice 310 combos (one is still in the box), but I do not want to get into shipping them.

Like under 400? Maybe under 300?

I live in Brookfield, Wisconsin. I was looking at http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/msg/532646467.html maybe, but I've read mixed reviews. Some say it's great and some say they've had problems with reliability. But if that guy has owned it for a while it must be decently reliable, right?

I didn't see any on the Lost Vintage site... How can I get a hold of him? I'm looking into that amp I posted above. It seems to be a very nice deal, but I'm a little worried about the quality. Not really sound, but how long it will last.

I got a real nice, brand new Genz-Benz Shen 60 from Al that was in your price range. Call Al on 856-933-0374. Call anytime ... he never closes. ;)

That sounds cool. I think I'll call tomorrow or something. Would he ship to Wisconsin? And what's so great about Genz Benz? They look cool, but how come everyone here likes em?

LostArtVintage ships almost anywhere.

Genz Benz makes a great product and they firmly stand behind it.

They have great personalized support.

I have a Black Pearl which has become my favorite tube amp.

The Genz are very nice amps. For the price, the Genz Shenendoah Jr. would serve the needs of 99% of home musicians, and it also works in small venues. Priced new from Al, if there are any left, it comes in below your price range. There is a tendency to buy way more amp than we ever need. I am a great example of this. I have a bunch of amps and the one I use the most is actually the smallest, most portable unit in the stable.
