I've got one coming that I bought before checking my Paypal balance. It's a sunburst also. Supposedly it has a single finish crack but is otherwise fine. Anyone interested? (It'll cost more than this poor thing did though.) :)

Damn, someone gets the new "Guitar Thief" crown. Sure hope they know what they got. It'd be even better if it was in the family.

g8r, I don't really have to wear some dumb crown, do I...?
And I'm probably kinda new to be considered family but would certainly be happy to share my toys with you guys at the Jam.

Can't believe the ending price either but I'm pretty delirious about it.

Wow Otto! Nice grab - great deal. Congratulations!

Is it just Ovations or is the whole guitar market depressed?

Alright Otto, congratulations!!!

I'll bring the crown up for ya to SSJ-II. You'll like it; it's tastefully done as an ivoroid tiara with abalone trim and gold Schaller tuners in place of jewels.

As far as the family's concerned, once you get an Ovation and join the board you're family forever. We're like those other "Families" - you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.

Great guitar, great grab, may you enjoy it for a very long time.

Way to go, Otto! I was tempted but thought I had better lay low after buying 2 in the last few weeks.

Otto, congrats, and please keep us posted on the crack and what you do, if anything, to repair it.

Thanks, Prof. I'm holding my breath and hoping it's not too bad. Didn't look that horrible in the pics but we'll see what it looks like in person before deciding what to do. First thing will be a good cleaning. By the look of the pics it is in desperate need of a bath. I'll definitely post some pics when it gets here and will most likely be soliciting advice directly after that.

Glenn, were you refering to the crack when you mentioned "a relatively easy diy??

You'll love the 1718, Otto. Let me know how it compares to the 1537.

Congratulations on the great deal Otto. I would have snagged it myself, but I was burying my dad.

Thanks All,

I do miss my dad greatly, and I awaken every morning hoping it was all a bad dream. I still flip my phone open as I start to call him, but then I remember once again. I take great comfort in knowing he was a man of God and truly believe he is where he always talked about wanting to be. As I said ... I still miss him though, and there will always be a big hole in my life due to his passing. I was able to play my Cedar-top Elite at the funeral as my sisters sang along beautifully. I thank God for music, and for my feeble ability to play. I was also able to play for him as he was dying. What a blessing.

Thanks again for your kind words.

Bryan
