I've been shopping around for the 2080 and found a price of $1,359 at Woodwind & Brasswind. That price seems artificially low. Is that deal too good to be true?

Does it come with a case? Some of the cheaper deals don't include cases. Is it factory reconditioned - if so, does it have a 5 year v. lifetime warranty?

If it is indeed new and first quality, that seems like an outstanding price. I'd still check with Al before pulling the trigger on it.

Truly a steal if it is new. I am putting my 2080 on the block soon, and I sure hope to do a little better than that for my used example, but that may be too much to hope for as their appeal seems to be a bit limited.

Which is really a shame because the 2080 is a fabulous guitar.

I think a lot of it's problems stem from it's "looks" . . .

Some people like 'em, . . aLOT don't.

I wasn't overtly "thrilled" w/the looks of it when it first came out . . .

. . . but the "s-s-s-s-sound"(and the playability) of it turned me around . . .

I love mine, but I may also be putting it on the block soon. I'm playing in a band with some old friends of mine, and I'm thinking about getting a VXT or just an electric to play with the band. If I do that, somethin's gotta go.

Mine's going to go to see the Mothership for some fixins, but I'll tell you what, it sounds unlike anything else.

When we were up at the NW gathering I could always tell when someone picked that up and started playing

A sound all it's own.
