Just when I thought I'd seen everything:
What Is This?

Any Ideas?

It is "a rarely used Ovation dreadnaught which is no longer available..."

Not enough photos, but someone may have done a real nice salvage job... They just didn't have an Ovation neck.
Looks like the might be the right tuners, but...

Well, upon closer inspection, the pic of the headstock is probably a mistake/wrong one...the case is different from the O' case w/the guitar in it...and in the description the seller says "gold tuners"...the headstock has chrome ones...
So, mystery solved I guess...oh well, never mind...

A couple of ideas.
1. Someone has put a non-ovation neck onto an ovation body.
2. One of the photos is of a different guitar - the photo of the neck/head appears to be in a different case to the rest of the guitar. Note the description says the machine heads are gold, but the picture of the head looks chrome.

Looks like a replacement neck, not an Ovation neck and headstock, almost looks like a Bourgoise style. Weird.

I saw that too. I think the headstock is the Fender acoustic he has listed in another auction.

I think the photos are mixed up. Definitely, different cases. That peghead has the typical Martin diamond on the back, but it doesn't look like Martin materials, or finish.
And, as for "abalone inlay"- more like "baloney airplay". That's a standard surface-mount rosette.
Hope the seller corrects the listing.

Numbfingers has it... If you look under Seller's Other Items you will see the Fender and the Case.

Aw, but speculation is much more Fun! ;)

That burst is sure nice! What the heck is a "soft shell hard case"?

+1 on the Sunburst. Nobody does it better than Ovation.
