Here is a minty 1982 collectors edition for sale(serial number 392).This is the finest i have ever personally seen.I cannot find a ding anywhere. It was purchased new in 83 by the owner of the guitar that i bought it from.He bought it to learn to play guitar and never did.It has lived in a closet for 25 years and it is spectacular.I changed the battery and strings(elixer nano's) .The neck, frets, action are perfect. It has original certificate, hang tags, owners manual, kaman guitar string literature and also a stereo cord that has never been unwrapped from the twist tie .I am asking $775.00 plus shipping.I will give 24 hour aproval period. If this guitar is not as advertised, send it back..check out the pics.call or e-mail me samova@comcast.net or 404 409-6242 Sam

I love these guitars. Way to stake your claim AJ. The 82C beater I got through standingovation is going to go live in Canandigua NY this school year. It was the acoustic guitar used on Dane's recording on the OFC3 disc. This is a great get for whoever winds up with it.

Bobbo,

You guys have it so easy over there.

I have been interested in buying several nice Ovations recently to add to my collection.

International shipping seems to be a no go.

I wonder if those manufacturer-provided stereo Y cords are hard to find these days? I still have the one that came with my 1651 in 1981. The left and right splits are really thin, but mine has held up well. I used it repeatly for 20 years with a stereo PA set up and it still works just fine, although nowadays I prefer the bigger monster cables just because the cables are more sturdy.

Brad, You'll find stereo to mono Y cables anywhere that deals in Pro-Audio. They're called insert cords. Generally used to insert FX processors directly into a mixers channel strip at the TRS insert point. Hosa make a reasonanbly sturdy insert cable, but they have molded plugs, so for road use I just cut them off and solder on some Neutriks.

If Sam says it's "just excellent", from past experience, that means "Mint".
