Probably good he didn't come. Lot's of places to hide the body up in Mt Vernon.

The OFC has been great for me and I've learned a lot about Ovations and have bought and sold several guitars. Collectively, we've kept a lot of great guitars in the family. Sort of reminds me of my neighborhood garage sales. Everyone's selling and buying so at the end, we've just shuffled the merchandise around and, as a group, we still have the same stuff. OK, I'm babbling.

Truth be told, it's time for me to move this guitar. I'm on the one in, one out program at this point in my life and I just bought an '07 Collectors. I hope to be more of a collector in the future. My 1537 is a classic piece of Ovation history and it's in great condition. Comes with a 24 hour no hassle return policy (you pay shipping) if you don't like it. Would love to keep this guitar in the family with someone that really appreciates Ovations. I'm lowering the price to $950 + 1/2 Shipping. Let's work something out.

Next week she goes to you know where.

Thanks.

Jim

Jim, you really need to stick this one in the closet and tell the wife you sold it. These aren't that common, and you will kick yourself in the (well , you know) if you part with it.

Wow! ... I wish I could afford it right now, but I have been forced into the one in, one out thing also, and the cash cow is currently dried up.

stellarjim's asking price is more than reasonable, given that there's another one on the bay with a broken ear and a pretty large finish crack with a staring bid of $1500.

Keep it in the family!

If I wasn't after a 87c I would grab this. I don't like the look of sunburst guitars however I am prepared to make an exception for this.

No, I am in no way affiliated with Stellar Jim.

I was told by the people that know these things here to buy a 1537 and boy were they right.

G8R is right...keep it in the family. I have a potential buyer so I hope to keep it in the fam. He's trying to shake loose some money so I should know shortly.

A great historical guitar that is rare for it's looks and outstanding condition. I really don't want to move it to www.guitarhellebay.com.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. I hate the way I get emotionally attached to some guitars. You'd think I'd be above that at this point in my life.
