My first O was a 2000 Celebrity Collector's. It was my mainstay for quite a while. Got a doubleneck, but never could love it and sold it fairly quickly. Once I played my 1st LX I sold the Celebrity and never looked back.

SWMBO justifications for GAS

1. Guitars cost way less than sports cars
2. Guitars cost way, way less than girlfriends
3. I can indulge in them at home
4. When I indulge in public, the scandal is minimal

My own justification for GAS

I have the money.

I've always owned one Ovation guitar, since I started having my bouts with G.A.S. I mean I acquired a total of three to date, but only one guitar at a time. Currently, I just have one lowly custom legend (1719) that keeps me company.

... consider it as my serial monogamous relationship with the Ovation guitar ... :D

just visited a friend that has an incredible collection of guitars.

many old gibson jazz guitars and vintage martin flatops that he is so proud to have in his collection.

but he has only 1 ovation he is so proud of and it is the one he uses anytime he needs to plug in in a performance; an old 70's legend.

he says,. . . "it is very reliable, always in tune, the best guitar to travel with and people comment on the great sound". . .

. . . what more can i say?

I have had only one. It's a Custom Balladeer 1112-4 and I'm the original owner. I think I bought it in 1974. I like it better than any acoustic guitar I've played.
