I'm one of the guys who ordered a Sweetwater. Had to sell my 1778T to afford the deal. Well, long story short, never bonded with the Sweet T (decided I don't like the contour body). So I sold it. Been looking for another 'bargain' 1778T for awhile now, but it has to be a REAL bargain. But I'm patient, and have plenty of other guitars to play around with until another T comes along.

Which brings me to my point. Where have all the red 1778Ts gone. Eight out of 10 on the 'Bay or Craiglist in the last 4 months have been black, with the remaining 20% being pewter or the 'flamers. But not one solid red body. Did they not sell that well? Are people just hanging onto them? Not THAT important, but I was hoping to find one as they seem to my eye prettier than black or pewter — and I'm just not a 'flamed' sort of guy.

I don't think that they made that many red 'uns...
Plus, the type of person who buys a red one, might wanna keep it.

And there are No Cheap Flamers!

If I ever sell this one, I will be decidedly Greedy! :D

There's a red one at one of the local dealers, but he thinks it's gold. ($)

OMA,
They are beautiful guitars and do seem to hold their value well. I just feel like I might suffer permanent retina damage.

Or as Jim Carrey said, "I wondered if I'd gone too far . . . back when I used to worry about that kind of thing." LOL

There's a red one at American Music here in Bellevue too. I forget what they were asking
