One of the original DS768s. They are the best woodtop ones!

Looks familiar, eh, Stephen? :)

I'm still lovin mine. Right now I have the flight control cable we got in Amelia (was that an .078?) for my low E, and a medium set moved up one string (E for A, A for D, ect) for the rest. Standard tuning in B. Rumbles my tummy.

Rumbles your tummy or more likely shakes the foundation of your house! YIKES!

I had mine tuned to "B" but decided it was just too massive a sound so upped it to a "C" with the standard EJ18s. Allows me to jump up to "D" if I want a little 12-string accompaniment or keep it at a "C" for the true tummy rumbler.

It's funny that these things go up and down in price. I think I sold mine, which was pristine natural top, with the Optima for around 600.00. Couldn't get anyone to bite above that.

Joey D here on the Island has been looking off and on for one. I mentioned this to him. Anyone else have one they think they'll let go let me know. I'll put them in touch with Joey if he doesn't take this one. Thanks.

Beal is right ... that IS cheap. Mine sold a few months ago for almost a grand. It looks like the color may actually be a lot deeper than in the pictures also (is that a cherry burst?). Bad lighting and poor photos may prove once again to keep the price low. Good luck to someone.

Makes the one the Wabbit has an even bigger bargain than it was when he first got it.

Cherry cherry burst (CCB). I have one just like it. Not for sale at this time. The color on mine is definitely a lot deeper than it looks in the pictures of the one on eBay, but you can still see the grain of the top. IMHO, CCB is the signature color for Elite style guitars ... a uniquely Ovation color. Very nice.

The majority of people who don't want a longneck are those that have never played one.

They should always sell for a grand or more.

3 minutes is nothing. It's when you bid with 10 seconds left and a brand new bidder slips in above you... that'll piss you off.

Optima would be nice. Mine must be a little older, it has the OPx, which is great, I just miss the tuner...

Wabbit, how 'bout this guitar?
Ebay# 3302 8653 4943
It has a 5-piece neck, ping tuners, op24+ electronics, and an abalone rossette. There's no label, no serial number. Just 'CE' on the back of the headstock. Did Celebrity's come with those options?

The winner won by $10 cause that's all he had to bid to win the guitar. His actual bid might have been $200 higher.

Hmmm. Don't think I miss it that much...

I have considered that for the 87 however.

Outboard tuners work pretty well for $20 or less.
