Yeah, well... Somebody buy it so I can quit trying to figure-out which two guitars to sell to buy it.

Okay, you've owned one. Is it worth trading a coupla T's for? Or a T and a neck-through BC Rich?

Some of the other posts about W597's imply that they are kinda weak unplugged.
(and I mostly play unplugged)

IMO, they are acoustic wimps but plugged in powerhouses! they have great tonal balance just not enough acoustic power for my liking. the 2058T i used to own sounded better acoustically but nowhere near as good plugged in.

That price for that condition of W597 seems too good to be true. (Usually that means it is?)

If it's what it says it is, someone oughta grab it. I would, but there's no room in the doghouse to play it.

That is one heck of a deal, I personally think it is genuine, seller has 500+ points with 100% positive feedback. If you pay via PayPal you are also protected! So it's a no brainer.

Shame it's not cobolt blue else shark would be dining right now!

I believe it to be 100% legit and, also, a pretty clear indicator of how weak the market is.
People are holding their wallets very close to their chests.
A few months ago, that Adamas wouldn't have lasted a day on eBay.

So, would I actually play any better on a $2400 guitar?

In the UK the Adamas market is still clearly alive...

A 2nd hand 1597 for £815 (with 2 hours still to go). I cannot believe that people will pay this much for a 1597! Unreal.

Hi Dweezil, its really hard to get hold of decent ovation and adamas guitars here in the UK. The current distributor Fender are not very good (understatement) and do not promote the brand at all. I went to a recent guitar festival over here and there was only one Elite T for sale out of thousands. So when we see a good one on the Bay we have to go for it - or contact Al of course, a great source of help.
Have a good day.
