This was my first Real Ovation. This is in Very Good shape. It does have a little cosmetic wear but it works just fine. The action is great! (Two dimes at the 12th fret!) Single volume knob.
Just a Nice Guitar.
I just have more guitars than I can play. This one deserves a good home. I would like to keep it in the family.

| This guitar is really worth a lot more than the price being asked but I guess the market is what it is. These have a nice solid sound unplugged and they are pretty loud. The shallow bowl isn't really that shallow on them either - I think it's less than an inch difference from the deep bowl of that era.
Anyway, great guitar at a great price.
I wonder what an equivalent instrument would go for new these days maybe upwards of 1,500. |

Location: SoCal | Toby made an interesting observation a while back. He said that most Ovations today sell for about what the original price was back in the 70's. It seems to me that the 1621 sold for about $425 when it first came out (about $100 more that the 1121). So it's actually, a bit below market which is probably a reflection of the economy right now..... |

Location: SoCal | I'm not nitpicking, just making an observation, but I don't recall music stores discounting off of list in those days. In 1972, I bought an 1121. List was $325 and that's what I paid... |

No seriously, in those days you're correct you paid close to list, but they usually gave you a break on the case or threw in some lessons. |
