I don't know that I'd say it was the best, but it's gotta be at least in the top 5. Well worth the $2800.....

I'm convinced MM could make a cigar box banjo sound great :)

Thank you. The #47 is considerably brighter and has more sparkle than the 1687, at least in this recording. That was the one complaint I had about my only Adamas owned to date - a 1587. It had lots of punch and midrange, but didn't "breathe" when strummed enough to my liking.

You can also watch THIS VIDEO on youtube. ;)
The #47 RI is without any doubt one of the best Adamas with a very special sound compared to the other models.

You need to listen to it through more than computer speakers...the bass is what identifies this guitar...and I did not record these guitars as I would today...I was a brand newbie at recording then...now I have learned a bit more...listen to the Martin and the Taylor and then the Adamas 47...all three had tremendous bass response that nearly washed out the recording...In reality, the guitar is bery balanced and had more tone than any other Adamas...I love mine...

Someone needs to jump on this one...I have a feeling that Povation is going to find this...and thats fine: he has at least 6 others...
