Well, other projects are calling, and this is the only one of my babies that is worth some decent money. This 1680 is in mint condition, and even comes with walnut tuner buttons installed (will also include the ebony buttons that came with it). Also has the deluxe case with Ovation logo. Would like to see $1650 for it, including shipping to continental US. Local pickup in Vermont also available. I don't think I need to talk about the virtues of this model..But the sound that comes out of this guitar is breathtaking. Let me know if you have any questions or need pics.

Thanks!
Todd

You're right, Nas. Anyone who has any questions about this model should only have to go as far as a quick search. Top of the line guitar. And a very nice price. I hope it stays in the family. Good luck with the sale.

(And had I known you had that one up there, I would've stopped on our way skiing - we stop in Burlington every year. Beautiful little town.)

This is a great guitar. Anyone who was willing to go out on a limb now and spend a little over their head would not be sorry when they played this.

Thanks for the kind words on this guitar.. Once the money is back in my GAS account I will not hesitate to re-acquire this one. Its that good, especially for the price. I like the sound of this one more than guitars that are at 3x this price. Hopefully at these prices, people are more "trading" these back and forth.. which is a really nice thing. Play it for a while, and sell it for about what you paid, move on to something else (of course, I paid a small chunk more than I'm selling it for, but can't squabble over that now!).

TJ, I think you're right about stephent. I tend to be a keeper of guitars. I buy fewer and sell fewer. However, I've been able to upgrade nicely over the years. I started out with a shallow body Balladeer I bought for $300 about 6 years ago.

I actually have to choose now between the 1680 and the FD 1614 that I bought from you. I can't keep all three (1680, FD 1614 and wife). I can only keep 2. But I think Meatloaf said famously in a song, "2 out of 3 ain't bad". Can we trade wives on the OFC? LOL.

My bad.....

Look at the time of the post. I was already well into glazed eyes and trying to read posts instead of playing and practicing.

Got to play this briefly at Keith's Tuesday just before it shipped...you're gonna love it!

And why no one has bought his 47RI is beyond me...$2800 for one of the best Adamas guitars ever made? It's a no brainer...

I only know why I haven't bought it. All past present and future funds are committed elsewhere.
