I think that some members might have more info on the seller. Look before you leap.

His gear is in good shape, but he tends to ask top dollar for it.

Someone recently got a limited Koa Elite from him and they're very happy with it.

Must have been before my time. In my best Emily Litella voice, "Never mind!"

I purchased my 97 1778-KGC from this seller. Not that it matters but i drove to philli and met with Elias on this transaction. Personally i found him to be quite cordial and pleasant to deal with. As Patch said i am very pleased with the guitar and i can assure you if you buy from him, you may pay more than the market calls for, however the git will be as pictured and as described. Elias was a serious collector at one time and only invested in top of the line gits. More importantly he keeps them pristine. I pride myself in giving people the benefit of the doubt and only judging them on the way im treated and not how others perceive them. If i had the money i would be headed back to philli.

Gene - I'm glad you had a pleasant experience and are satisfied with your guitar.

Please don't take offense at this, but you've only been here what, less than 3 weeks? Gallerinski (or one of his earlier incarnations) has been on this board since its inception (about 7 years now), has bought/sold/traded/owns more guitars than you ever will, has established and runs several other guitar-related websites and forums; I could go on and on. As I said, no offense and I'm glad you're happy with your experience, but I'm more inclined to trust Dave's impressions/evaluation over just about anyone else.

This isn't a "dave thing". To each his own and I'm glad others had good experiences. We're not going to go into details, but those of us here in the beginning saw what happened. 'nuf said. Everyone please form their own opinion. Mine is etched in granite.

Toby, the occasion of my giving you a compliment is as rare as hen's teeth. Accept it graciously.
