This is my 1993 Hamer Special FM USA GSPS-FM. Serial # 335713. Condition is (in my opinion) a 7 out of 10. There are two areas that I have not addressed yet where the finish is actually chipped away and missing as you will see in the pictures. The first is at the nut. Some time ago the glue lost its holding ability and during a string change fell off, taking the finish that you see missing with it. The nut was easily re-glued the chip remains The second is along the lower radius on the rear. Not sure where this happened but it’s there. Both may be easy super glue, nail polish or lacquer repairs. There are other areas of small finish ‘denting’ on both the top and rear but are hard to photograph and might even be considered normal wear. There are also pick sweep markings in the usual areas as well as some marking between the pickups on the low E side where your thumb would rest if finger picking. None are horrible but they are there so I feel it’s important to point them out. There are also areas of noticeable but fairly minor fret wear. This is no case queen and has been my main guitar for the past six years. Chrome tailpiece and bridge are in excellent condition and the tailpiece is a Gotoh which I don’t think is original. The Schaller tuners work perfectly and their chrome is in good condition with some minor scratching evident. I put these on as a replacement for the stock Hamer tuners when I first got it. The pickups are the stock setup ’59 neck and JB bridge. However neither are the original pickups. The JB bridge is a four conductor and has been wired to a push-pull tone pot to allow it to be used single coil or humbucker. The ’59 zebra neck is brand new and I just installed it it to replace a 4 conductor SD jazz neck pickup in order to return it to its original appearance. It’s currently a simple two conductor. Honestly I rarely found a good use for the single coil option for what I do but the options are now all in place if you need them. The pickup mounting rings are also brand new DiMarzio pieces. I havd also installed threaded inserts for the control cavity cover screws replacing the original wood screws. Action and playability are excellent. One of the best I have ever had. The sound is also exceptional. I know that I will regret moving this one out but I just don’t need two electric six strings at any one time.

Case is also in very good condition with a few small dings from use and doing what a case should do.

I’d like to get $700.00, PayPal & shipped CONUS for OFC & HFC Members. If no interest in a week or so here then it’s off to eBay.

Thank you very much for both finding that and correcting it. A little something got lost in the cut and paste it appears.
