A great amp. I have 2 of these and one of the 2x12 120w versions. I gig with these amps due to the versatility of sounds I can get with them.

Just the 60watt one is for sale though. You can also vary the power from 1 watt on up so it's great for low volume situations as well as in a small venue

Tube driven on the front end, this is a modeling amp with built in effects and different amp models. This is not one of the cheaper Valvetronics amps, this is made for professionals.

It's hard to say all that this amp does, so I'll let y'all Google it and read some reviews and specs.

Bottom line though, you can use it 3 ways:

1. Straight up What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get mode lets you set up you amp settings and any effects, then you use the footswitch like you would stompbox effects.

2. Preset mode lets you use either factory presets or your own recorded presets. You dial in your sounds, then save it for recall at any time. Footswitch is used to select presets.

3. Same as preset mode, but you can turn on and off the effects on the footswitch.

Excellent amps.

Damon,

Please talk me out of this one by describing the functions on the foot switch...

<like I need another amp... >

Iffy, I'm a big lover of these amps. I'm keeping the closed back model AD60VTX with the neodog speakers, and then I have the closed back AD120VTX amp that's stereo, with another 2X12 extension cab. I use the bigger version of the footpedal, but basically they do the same thing. This smaller one only has one expression pedal though.

I usually go with what I described as option #1 described above. I use all the knobs on the amp for my settings. I set the amp and amp tones first, then I set the different effects parameters for each effect. I use the footpedal just like if it was stompbox effects.

The first button is a variable pedal. It can be a compressor, overdrive, wah, fuzz, etc.

The second button is for the modulation effects like flanger or phase

The third button is for delay (3 different types available)

The fourth button is reverb (3 types)

The fifth button is a tap tempo for the delay time

The footpedal is for either volume or expression (like with wah)

The button up top is to enable the tuner

Pretty simple really.

If you do it as a selector pedal selecting presets that you've stored, then the buttons are no longer tied to the effects, they are used to select programs.

It'll come with a manual ;)

I used to have the AD120VT and what I really liked was the Effects all have real knobs you can turn.

As example... look in the pictures above.. at the modulation section.. You pic, Trem, Chorus, Flange, Phase etc.. and then you adjust the Speed and Depth knobs. The reverb section has a Depth knob. The Delay section has a Feedback and Depth knobs. If anyone has used traditional digital effects you can see how these knobs are godsends.

Even the standard EQ and Gain section doesn't have "menus" to dig through. It's really the best of both worlds and I wish I had the funds to pick this one up. The 120 was just too big for what I was using it for.

+1 on "I wish I had the funds"

That looks like an intense toy.
And I like the 'Power Select' on the back.
I could decide whether to annoy the neighbors, and how Much.

The big footswitch adds even more stuff. I have a second one I'll eventually sell, but I need to get it fixed. The input jack needs replacing.

It'll go for about $200 I think.
