Location: Jet City | Ok, here goes the burst Falcon.
As I said on the Predator post, I've been going through various Peavey Strat style guitars. This is the one that one out. The bodies are sleeker and more streamlined, the hardware is better than their Predator counterparts with the tuners, 3-ply pickguards, and trem systems on some of the models, and the pickups seem to be quieter as well though there are different pickups depending on the model. I also like the single volume single tone configuration over the standard 3 knob Strat setup.
Bottom line is the Predator is very much a Strat, and the Falcon is like a Strat only better. Honestly, I prefer them over most American Strats I've played.
So why is this one up for sale when I said it's the one for me? Cuz I have 2 colors. I finally decided I was keeping the black one. They're totally identical except for the color.
So here's the deal... I only have one trem arm between the 3 Kahler trems I have, so it will be armless. There are a few places that sell them, but I suggest fretsonthenet.com. He custom makes them from stainless, plus they're $5 cheaper than buying from the Kahler Parts site. I've bought a few from him for my Wonderbar trems.
It's in excellent shape except for the dings on the back side (see pics). The top is absolutely perfect and the pickguard and pup covers have aged nicely over time. The frets are great and I have this thing setup like a dream.
$250 with case (Yes, cheaper than a Mexican Fender!)
