If anyone is interested, I'm happy to answer questions here on the forum. Thanks for looking! Ovation 1537 Auction on Ebay

The original owner lived in Kentucky, and seemed unaware that he had a very desirable model - it was just an acoustic guitar to him. In fact, he had placed a large sticker on the area where the top got knocked (lower left in the pic). When I was negotiating with him, he initially was reluctant to remove it, but I convinced him that revealing the top underneath would be rather important to most buyers. :) Luckily, he was able to do so without incident.

So you are probably right. Other than the ding, it's in perfect condition. I'm sure that's why they tried to hide the ding with that awesome sticker. ;-)

It is every bit (and more) the guitar I was told it would be. It has a very full sound, unlike several elites I have played, where I felt the bass side didn't have quite the response as the treble. Trust me...she sounds better than she looks (if that is possible), plugged and unplugged. Thanks again Roger. She is in good hands. jay
