I don't have any money or I would snag THIS for General Principles.

Get it while you can...

It has a chip along the edge under where your right arm goes...
But Testors' Enamel or Krylon would fix that. :p

I couldn't ever get too attached to that model. Sonically probably a deal but not for me.

I just put it up there for somebody! It still looks like a good deal.

Personally, the '88, '89, and '90 never appealed to me.
The way that they had to move the bridge to accommodate the 24 fret neck looks funky.
I have 24 fret electrics, but I never play way up there.

But! Back in better daze I woulda grabbed it just to try-it-out.
Play with it for a coupla months and then sell it.
Who knows? I may have found myself attracted to it once I played it.
(stranger things have happened)

That sold for $349! ... At that price it was a steal for somebody. Just think about how many people go out and spend 6-8 hundred bucks for a substandard guitar as a beginners instrument. The guitar's visual style doesn't appeal to me, but I sure believe I could have flipped that one for a nice profit.

...OOOPS! ...scratch that last statement... It's a shallow bowl.

These look a lot better in person than they do in pictures. Someone (MM?) ought to be thrilled at this find.

Someone just tried to sell one of the non-custom-legend-style ones on eBay. They definitely wanted top dollar for it though.

Waaay too much... They look really nice, but they are still just a Custom Legend. Not saying CLs are not good guitars, just that - in my opinion - there have been a LOT of them made, so they are not unique enough to demand high dollars.

I don't know....I kinda like those 88's. If it had a 1-3/4" nut, I'd be interested.

I like mine just fine.
I believe they were referred to as Super Shallow Bowls not Shallow Bowls weren't they?

Never seen one in person, but I always thought these were really nice. I think it would be really cool to have access to that much of the neck on an acoustic.

The EA-68 Viper has that much neck and it's a gas to play.

One of these have languished in a local pawn shop for several years....
I never noticed the neck, just thought it was "un-pretty" (can't use the U-word on an O)
I'll go have a second look
