I remember Lloyd Bridges would come over and ruffle my hair. Super nice man. Something must've stuck, because during my college years we'd go hang out at the Sandcastle restaurant in Malibu where they'd be filming Rockford Files. What a crazy bunch of characters they all were!

My fondest memory of shows was every Saturday my dad would bring home blueprints that needed to be checked. He'd spread them out on the living room table and we'd watch 'Creature Features' (on WKBD, man the name of that is escaping me right now..Brad? Roger?) all day. Then again, there was H. R. Puffenstuff, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. Quality programming from the (drug addled) minds of Sid and Marty Kroft. ;) I third the Rockford Files, although I only got to watch it if I snuck out of bed. :)

After school cartoons: Gigantor, Kimba the White Lion... How about the Thunderbirds (NOT the movie remake, the original puppets courtesy of the BBC)?

The rest of you guys are too young. How about Mighty Mouse, Deputy Dawg, Snagglepuss and all those Hanna/Barbera cartoons?

Cat, Rifleman, Batman, Star Trek, Leave It To Beaver, Donna Reed, Patty Duke, Bewitched, The Prisoner, I Dream Of Jeannie, Mr. Ed, The Avengers, Gilligan's Island, The Man From UNCLE, My Favorite Martian, It's About Time, Dick Van Dyke, Car 54, McHale's Navy, Hogan's Heroes, F-Troop, The Munsters, The Addams Family, Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, Have Gun Will Travel, Cheyenne, I Spy, Mission Impossible, Honey West, Dragnet, Flipper, Hawaii Five-O, Doctor Who, Lost In Space, Time Tunnel, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Outer Limits, Dark Shadows, Alfred Hitchcock Presents... Oh Lord, I just remembered where I put my childhood... What really hurts is watching these on TVLand or Nick and trying to explain to children and grandchildren that you saw them when they were "new". Kinda like going into a coffee shop and "Please Please Me" is playing, and you hear people saying, "I just love these really old songs." And you think to yourself that you remember hearing it when it was first released. 'scuse me, I gotta go take my Geritol now...
