He informed me the New Q is on indefinite hold.

I also have a Q 597 coming my way.

There really is a Santa Claus

Foul!! Rhetoric!!

The Q is just one more thing Ovation has done that is way ahead of it's time...

There is as much technology there as in an F-1 car. How much F-1 technology is there in an average production car?

I hope the market will catch up...eventually.

No one asked, but my comment is, if the Factory has a choice between cranking out more guitars or developing the Q, I say, crank out more quitars. If the Factory has a choice between getting all the LX advances into the Adamas or developing the Q, I say, get the LX advances into the Adamas. If the Factory has a choise between extending the contourback down the line or developing the Q, I say, get the contourback down the line. Basically, so long as the Factory has all other models up to date and up to speed, then let them spend time on the Q.

BTW, just out of curiousity, did any of the LX advances or the contourback come out of the Q research?

Interesting, and probably nothing more than coinicidence, but ... how many people know that Reeves Callaway is on the Board of Kaman? Callaway is a tremendous engineer but extrememly well known for building race cars out of very advanced materials, especially carbon fiber. The Callaway Corvette was probably the most outrageous car on the planet back about 10 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Callaway Engineering had some consulting time in the Q Project.

interesting...very interesting...I do believe I had heard somethng about that...Werent thay actually comparing it to a Callaway in their add?

I do firmly believe Ovation is on to something really good...and something way ahead of everyone else. I hope they see this one through.

I was able to see bits and pieces and hold the neck and base...it was beautiful...and feather weight.

Semi-related. I was looking in the Kayak section and spotted a $330 paddle made from cross woven carbon fiber. Very light and strong.

No tone without the wood behind it though!

Technology is inevitable.

Fogerty did it with a baseball bat...Im sure Ovation can do it with an oar.

Got one of those paddles. VERY nice. Extremely light. Built with an offset shaft. Reduces fatigue and doesn't aggrevate my carpel-tunnel.

I like it!

I've used one of those paddles, too -- very nice indeed!
