To say that I'm married to the most perfect woman I can imagine, would be an understatment. Last night (well, all day yesterday) was the one day of our lives that we were both 50 on the same day. Yesterday (12/30), she turned 50, and today (12/31) is my 51st. We had a huge party last night with the theme of Hawaii 50 and turned the house into the Tiki Bar. In the middle of all this, she gets everybody's attention and leads me to a wrapped box that I instantly know is an Ovation guitar box.

When I opened it, my short list of "really want" guitars went down to zero. My wife, Jerrie, with the help of Mr. Witko and a few others (I'll find out if I can name them later today), got me a Folklore Deluxe! I am, to say the least, stunned! It's beautiful, wonderful to hold and play, of course, the best thing about it is the sound. Very unlike any regular production Ovation.

To all who participated, to all who knew and kept quiet about it, and to all who have these guitars, and raved about how wonderful they are and who whetted my appetite, thank you.

The last 4 months have been incredible with 3 new addtions to the Moody stable --the 87 Collectors, the 1773 LX/PM, and the the FD 14. I have been blessed.

Happy Birthday Paul

GREAT STORY, enjoy those things that you can share, and it will only get better.

Remind all these twisted souls that good guitars are made so we can sing songs about and to our true loves. Without love of a woman there would never have been any guitar, Ovation or otherwise. The guitar is a prelude to the sex act, certainly not the culmination for any normal sex addict.

Forgot to say Happy Birthday Paul - does it get any better?

You are going to have to find something to put on the list. Hamers could offer a whole new world of want.

Happy Birthday to you both & congrat's on the FD14. Sounds like the Hawaii50 was a great success.

The wife and I share similiar dates and just rolled 42, mine's 11/4 her's is 12/3...for 29 days every year she ribs me for me being the oldest.

FD14  Guess that means the hunting to get me one just got that much harder! :D
