Location: SoCal | I've got somebody asking me why he should buy my 1674 Country Artist.... and how good is the sound.
I'm biased in that I love the guitar, but want to sell it (I'm playing my 1773 LX full time now in the nylon string department).
Somebody want to take a swing at this who owns a 1674? |

Location: Orlando, FL | I love my 1674. I have the cutaway as well. It has a nice warm mellow sound. The neck is very comfortable. I was worried how it would sound with the artist depth bowl. But it sounds great. Not as much volume as my deep bowls but a nice distinctive sound. It is the perfect guitar to compliment my 1537 and my 1118 12-string.
From the picture you posted, it looks like a beautiful example of a great guitar. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | My 2 cents worth. OK, I never owned a 1674 but I have seen Moody's and played a few riffs on it. It's a really nice guitar and in great shape. I do believe it also has the gold jack washer (improves sustain when plugged in). For anyone looking for a nylon string guitar with 1-7/8 nut and cutaway this is a great choice.
I have owned two different 1624 models, which are the non-cutaway version of Pauls. Very, very nice instruments to have. But the 1624 are a dime a dozen (and priced accordingly), whereas the cutaway 1674 is a rare bird and in my opinion quite a nice deal for what Paul is asking.

I was watching one of those dime a dozen 1624s on ebay this weekend. Not much activity until this morning when it had about 20 bids and was already at $375 with 4 days left. I'll find another one for a dime I guess. |

Location: closely held secret | Yeah, there's been quite a few of them, Mark. I could have had one cheaper than the $420 I ultimately paid for my resurrected 1624, but I thought it would be fun to see what the factory could do with it. |

Location: East Tennessee | Dave is right. I've been following some of the 1624 on ebay. $450 - $500 is the going rate.
I almost pulled the trigger on a sunburst one that was on ebay a couple of weeks ago.
Moody's 1674 since it is a rare model is definately worth more. Plus I'm sure the condition is superior to a lot of the ones shown on ebay.
To anyone interested the 14 fret nylon has a slightly different sound than a 12 fretter. It is a little brighter and cleaner. When plugged in it will project better. Of course that's just my opinion. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Sorry, when Dave said "dime a dozen" I was thinking lots less than $500. Maybe it's because here in Poverty Flats the average income is still a lot lower than much of the country, but we can still get a mansion for $300,000. |
