Any of you guys ever checked out the grizzly industrial catalog? They offer everything from strings, pick-ups, fret wire, amps, and even guitar kits. The president of grizzly tools is a guitar lover and builder. Some of their machines are used by Collings, Goodall, Gibson, and even Taylor. You can check them out at grizzly.com.

I get that catalog regularly (still waiting for 2006 catalog and the inevitable price increases).

I'm looking at purchasing a drill press from them soon.

I applaud Mr. Balolia's love of guitars and that he supplies good equipment and materials to build them,

but....

....he makes the ugliest guitars I have ever seen.

His acoustics may be ugly, but they probably sound good. I like the looks of the electric guitars though, similar to the alembics that Jerry Garcia used. And since when have guitars been all about looks? I find most ovations to be quite hideous, the multi-soundhole never looked right to me, and although it's growing on me, I used to hate the headstock. It's all worth it though, since Ovations sound much nicer than my prejudgements would have had me believe, although I may be a little spoiled with the 97 collector's :-p. There's no question that Ovation's have their place, but unplugged, I'd take a D35 any day of the week. just personal preference.

I'd agree.

The "Griz Book" is one of my favorite bathroom readers!

Someone needs to loan the Prez a solid body Ovation and then explain how hard it is to find parts! :D

Yep Am considering one of the 15" planers....I was quite surprised to see the luthier stuff myself. It makes me want to do business with this company.
